Posted by Afzal Hossain on ১:০২ PM

Master’s degree in pharmacy or engineering, Denmark

Job Description: The scholarship will play an integral part of the project: Design, Synthesis, Biological, and Structural Characterization of Novel Biomimetic Oligomers, financed by the Danish Council for Independent Research Natural Sciences. The PhD project will be focused on the development of synthetic methods for preparation of novel peptoid-containing oligomers and evaluation of their propensity to develop secondary folding. Three-dimensional structure elucidation will be performed by solving solution (NMR) as well as solid-state (X-ray) structures. Ultimately, compounds will be designed with the purpose of disrupting protein–protein interactions in interesting biological pathways related to cancer and/or selectively targeting microbial membranes.

Qualifications
The successful candidates should have a master’s degree in chemistry, pharmacy or engineering with experience in organic synthesis and spectroscopy, preferably at the Master Thesis level. The education should ideally include organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, spectroscopy, and physical chemistry.
